The next two installments for the Modern Warfare 3 ELITE content season are here! Two more Multiplayer / Survival maps are on the way. The maps here are like no other you will have seen before in Modern Warfare 3 so they are a great addition to the online experience.
Content Drops 7 & 8 Release Dates:

PlayStation 3 Elite Subscriber: 10th May 2012
Xbox 360: Unknown currently but part of Map Pack 2.
PlayStation 3: Unknown currently but part of Map Pack 2.
PC: Unknown currently but part of Map Pack 2.
The first map is called Sanctuary. “Suspended in the air one thousand feet up, you’ll battle more than altitude in the towering sandstone monasteries of Central Greece. Formed over millions of years, this sanctuary’s natural rock pillars have repelled invading armies and withstood the ravages of time but now they’ll face your deployment. Test your skills—and the ancient monks’ craftsmanship—with your arsenal of SMG’s, assault rifles and shotguns. Just remember: don’t look down.”
Truly a Modern Warfare 3 map like no other it adds great diversity into the collection of existing multiplayer maps as you battle in a classical little village with stunning visuals. A large outer circuit opens up long sight lines along the perimeter, circling a central monastery filled with tight hallways and sharp corners. Success requires the ability to focus your attacks and wait for the right moment to make a move. You can play it safe by sticking to the outside, but you’re likely to get left out of combat as the battle moves on.
The second map is called Foundation. “Journey into the heart of South Korea for a decommissioned concrete factory where the cement flows and bullets fly. After decades of constructing roads and buildings, the towering facility is now a perfectly-constructed combat zone for sniping and run-and-gun rules of engagement. Don’t stand in awe of the towering concrete crusher at the center of the factory unless you want to see your kill ratio meet the same fate.”
Foundation reminds us of a more industrial version of Quarry and Fuel from Modern Warfare 2, it has lots of buildings you can enter, ladders you can climb and jumping areas! Vertically the map is pretty daunting and seems huge but as you start to get used to it, you’ll realise its actually fairly small so it is great tactical map similar to Dome and Hardhat.
Foundation’s abundant verticality challenges teams with key vantage points surrounding the environment. While the upper levels give a clearer view of the field, however, multiple entryways allow easy access for ground units to flank and surprise snipers attempting to gain an advantage. Coordinate with your teammates to best determine enemy location and take the ground with the least exposure.
How do I get it the drops?
If you are an Elite premium member then the next time you go into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer you will get a message saying that new content is available and then it will download it automatically. If not then make sure you visit the “Store” menu option where you should be presented with a message. The content will roll out slowly around the world so don’t be alarmed if it doesn’t show up straight away.
Note: You can still become an Elite member after the Drops have been released and still get all the Drops that have been and will be released.
If you are not an Elite member then you will need to wait till the content is released as part of a map pack which will include 5 pieces of content. Then you can purchase it through the PlayStation Network, XBOX Live or Steam (For PC users).
To play the new maps: Once you’ve downloaded the new maps there will be a new playlist type called Elite Playlists for online Multiplayer, from which you can play your new maps.
