Modern Warfare 3 sanctuary map

Content Drops 7 & 8 hit Xbox 360 ELITE members tomorrow!

The April Content Drops 7 & 8 will be available for Xbox 360 ELITE Premium members tomorrow, the two drops are Multiplayer / Survival maps called Sanctuary and Foundation.

In a stealth announcement, the news was revealed on Twitter via the official ELITE feed: “Take “pew pew” to a whole new level. New #MW3 maps Sanctuary & Foundation hit ELITE @Xbox 360 Premium members tomorrow”

A picture was attached revealing the Sanctuary map which looks like no other map in Modern Warfare 3 currently so we can’t wait to see what it is like to play.

It seems yet again though, Xbox 360 ELITE members will be receiving their monthly content very early on in the month, compared to the PlayStation 3 which got the third content drop on the 29th of March last month.

No more details have yet been revealed so stay tuned on our Twitter feed here for all the latest information.

What April holds for Modern Warfare 3 map packs, featuring first map pack for PS3 & PC

April has begun and it is going to be an awesome month. It will be the month where a huge amount of content will be released across all 3 platforms (Xbox 360, PS3 & PC) so lets take a look at what we have to look forward to:

First of all, Xbox 360 ELITE Premium members have two brand new multiplayer maps to get their hands on: Content Drop 7 & 8. No official information has yet been revealed about these maps but multiplayer maps are always a welcome asset to the game. Follow us on our Twitter feed to stay up to date with the latest information. Update: The two Xbox 360 maps for April have been announced: http://www.callofdutymappacks.com/news/content-drops-7-8-hit-xbox-360-elite-members-tomorrow/

The platform recieving the largest amount of content this month will be the PlayStation 3, firstly the ELITE Premium members will get access to content drops 4, 5 and 6. These content drops are extra special because it marks the first time ever Call of Duty DLC has included Spec Ops missions as well as multiplayer maps. The three content drops will be released on the 12th of April.

Second for the PlayStation 3 will be the release of the first full map pack for non-ELITE members! The first map pack / content collection was released to Xbox 360 users last month and it is now due for release in April around the 23rd but no date has yet been confirmed.

Last, but not least we have the PC, which up until now have been unable to get their hands on any kind of DLC what so ever since the ELITE service is not available for the platform. The PC gamers will be recieving the same first map pack as the Xbox 360 and the PS3. The map pack for PC is due for the same time as the PS3 release.

The first map pack includes the first 6 content drops that ELITE Premium members have been recieving. The map pack will cost $15 and feature 4 brand new, never before seen multiplayer maps and 2 new Spec Ops missions.

Below is the content that will be included with the first map pack, check out each post for information on all the content in this collection.

Drops 1 & 2: Multiplayer Maps Piazza & Liberation.

Drop 3: Multiplayer Map Overwatch.

Drops 4, 5 & 6: Multiplayer Map Black Box & Spec Ops Missions Black Ice & Negotiator.

No matter what platform you are gaming on, April is going to be a great month for all so keep an eye out on our site for information on when the new content is going to arrive.

Until then, take a look at the video of all the drops below and we shall see you on the battlefield!

Content Drops 4, 5, 6 will be coming to PS3 “around April 12ish”

In the recent ELITE TV video from Call of Duty, it was revealed that the content drops 4 to 6 for premium ELITE PlayStation 3 members will be coming “on or around 4/12″.

The PlayStation 3 ELITE members will also be getting the third drop Overwatch on the 29th of March.

Oneofswords from Activision reveals explains the reason there is no fixed date for the PlayStation 3: “Why “on or around?” Because the exact posting time for PSN DLC is up to Sony, since they run and update the PlayStation Store. Maybe that updated will be mid-morning, or maybe it will be late in that day; maybe that will make it actually technically the next day if you live in Europe, which would be “around 4/12.” Activision can’t promise a date because Activision doesn’t update the digital stores itself. I think of it as if Activision is Pepsi and Sony is the grocery store; we deliver the fizzy water, but they actually run the checkout line.”

Either way at least we know it is one its way to us in early April so it will be far less than a month after the release of Overwatch that the next three drops will be arriving! Subscribe to our RSS feed here to keep updated with all the latest info.
