It feels like only yesterday we were talking about how excited we were about Liberation and Piazza back in January when the MW3 DLC Season kicked off but now 8 months later we are about to mark the end of the Modern Warfare 3 content season with Content Collection Map Pack 4.
Content Collection 4 is the last and final map pack available for all non-premium ELITE MW3 Players. If you don’t have any extra content for MW3 yet then Collection 4 will definitely be the one to get as it include FIVE brand new multiplayer maps. So if Face Off and Spec Ops missions aren’t your thing and you love the good old fashioned Call of Duty gaming then Collection 4 is the one to get.
Content Collection 4 Release Dates:
Xbox 360: 6th of September 2012
PlayStation 3: Sometime in October 2012
PC: Sometime in October 2012
Content Collection 4 includes the following ELITE Content Drops: 16, 17, 22, 23 & 24.
ELITE Drop 16 is a Multiplayer map called Decomission. A graveyard of rotting [or add decommissioned here] ocean liners has not only given birth to a shantytown of locals, but a mid-sized Multiplayer Map populated in chokepoints; providing the perfect setting for shoreline-based combat.
ELITE Drop 17 is a Multiplayer map called Offshore. Trapped on an oil rig in the middle of the ocean, you have nowhere to go but directly at your enemies in this new Multiplayer map boasting helipads, cranes, and countless perches for snipers eager to pick off the competition. Did we mention to look down or else you may fall off?
ELITE DROP 22: Gulch: Decades after fires charred this forgotten mining town, the red rock canyon gains new shades of red in “Gulch,” where the surrounding mountains, mine shafts and equipment sheds craft a perfect setting for high-tension combat.
ELITE DROP 23: Boardwalk: Head to the Jersey Coast for a sunny afternoon in “Boardwalk,” where you’ll face your enemies on the beach and fight for dominance at the arcade while still finding time to cut the line at the rollercoaster.
ELITE DROP 24: Parish: Wishful thinking won’t keep you safe in New Orleans’ war-torn French Quarter in “Parish,” where a local bombed-out church plays host to close-quarters combat amidst the city’s rubble.
How do I get it the drops?
If you are an Elite premium member then the next time you go into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer you will get a message saying that new content is available and then it will download it automatically. If not then make sure you visit the “Store” menu option where you should be presented with a message. The content will roll out slowly around the world so don’t be alarmed if it doesn’t show up straight away.
To play the new maps: Once you’ve downloaded the new maps there will be a new playlist type called Elite Playlists for online Multiplayer, from which you can play your new maps. Also for survival mode, there will be an option called “The struggle continues with all new maps”, select that and you’re on your way!
Content Collection 4 will cost $15 or 1200 Microsoft points.
